The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MoGCSP) has successfully organised a three-day technical workshop for the revision and finalisation of its Sector Medium Term Development Plan for the next four years (2018 – 2021).
Speaking today at the Opening session of the workshop, Hon. Otiko Afisah Djaba urged the staff to participate fully in the process and work their best to produce a working document that will change the narrative of rural women, men, children, the aged, vulnerable and persons with disability.
“Our Ministry represents the voice of the voiceless, the poor, the disadvantaged, the vulnerable, the excluded and the disabled, it is therefore imperative that, at the end of the workshop, we will come out with a working document that will represent the aforementioned group”, the Minister added.
The New Medium-Term Development Policy Framework for 2018-2021, is the sixth in the series of development policies prepared after the expiration of the Ghana Shared Growth and Development Agenda (GSGDA II) 2014-2017. It seeks to assist Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in translating the policies and strategies into their Medium Term Development Plans for implementation.
