MINISTER MEETS NEWLY APPOINTED REGIONAL COORDINATORS OF THE GSFP

The Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection, Hon. Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, met with the Sixteen (16) Regional Coordinators of the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP) on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, following her earlier engagement with the newly appointed National Coordinator and the two Deputy Coordinators.
The Minister welcomed the Regional Coordinators and commended them for their attendance. She emphasized that the School Feeding Programme would be decentralized, to enhance efficiency, improve monitoring as well as the quality of meals served to school children.
She urged the Regional Coordinators to strictly adhere to the GSFP’s structure when handling requests, resolving conflicts, and addressing challenges.
The Minister assured them that training and capacity-building sessions would be organized for them to prepare them for their new roles and responsibilities.
Additionally, she encouraged them to foster unity in their respective regions and work collaboratively with the district and zonal coordinators.
As part of the meeting, the Minister and the National Coordinator formally presented appointment letters to the Regional Coordinators, who pledged their readiness to work together to ensure that children receive nutritious meals under the programme.
The National Coordinator of the GSFP, Hajia Fati Forgor, also expressed her excitement about the appointment of the Regional Coordinators, all of whom are women, and reaffirmed their collective commitment to achieving the President’s vision for the School Feeding Programme.
