Hon. Cynthia Mamle Morrison has assured some vulnerable persons that, Government through the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection will soon support them with stipends to start up businesses for a brighter future.

She made this assurance at a food distribution exercise held at the Christ the King Catholic Church in Accra on Monday 18th May, 2020.

Hon. Cynthia Mamle Morrison pleaded with the vulnerable persons to make good use of the stipends to be soon given them and also be truthful when it comes to rendering accounts of what they invest the money in with possible outcomes.

The Minister was invited by Rev Fr. Andrew Campbell, SVD, to witness the distribution of nose masks and packs of foods to over 200 vulnerable persons in Accra.

According to the Rev Fr. with the support from various individuals and organisations the Church was able to support vulnerable persons including lepers in diverse ways during and after the lockdown period.

He therefore called on the Hon. Minister to help enroll some of these vulnerable persons onto the LEAP programme under her Ministry.

Hon. Cynthia Mamle Morrison as an act of benevolence gave some of the vulnerable persons an undisclosed amount of money for their upkeep for the day.
