HON. FREDA PREMPEH PRESENTS RELIEF FOOD ITEMS TO THE VULNERABLE

The Deputy Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Hon. Freda Prempeh has presented some relief food items to the Centre Manager for the Accra Rehabilitation Centre, Mr. Seth K. Dzidzornu on Monday 8th June, 2020 at the forecourt of the Ministry.
During the presentation, the Deputy Minister said due to the current situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, there is the need for the Ministry to support the vulnerable with relief food items to help boost their immune system.
According to Hon. Freda Prempeh, Cadbury Ghana Limited together with other donors as part of their corporate social responsibility has supported Government in diverse ways especially during this COVID-19 period and the Ministry is very appreciative of their kind gesture.
Hon. Freda Prempeh after presenting the items to the Manager cautioned that as inscribed on the cartons of the 3-in-1 hot Chocolate Drink donated by Cadbury Ghana Limited, the items are not for sale but meant to replenish the nutritional needs of the vulnerable in society.
She said together with her sector Minister, Hon. Cynthia Mamle Morrison, they will ensure that the items gets to the most vulnerable persons in society during this pandemic to help save lives.
The Centre Manager for the Accra Rehabilitation Centre, Mr. Seth K. Dzidzornu expressed the Centre’s profound gratitude to the Ministry and assured the Deputy Minister, Hon. Freda Prempeh that the food items will be served to the inmates of the Centre as instructed.
The items donated to the Accra Rehabilitation Centre included 10 boxes of Cadbury 3-in-1 hot chocolate drink and other assorted items.
On behalf of the Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Hon. Cynthia Mamle Morrison, the Ministry also donated other relief food items received during the COVID-19 lockdown period to the Children and Adult Shelters in Accra.
