Four-Day working visit to the upper west region

Starting with her National Monitoring Working Visit (an exercise that will cover all ten regions in Ghana), Honorable Otiko Afisah Djaba with a team from the Ministry of Gender Children and Social  Protection paid a four-Day visit to the Upper West Region. To kick start the event, the team paid a courtesy call on the Upper West Regional Minister, honorable Sulemana Alhassan.

The purpose of the national monitoring working visit is for Hon. Otiko Djaba to familiarize with all governments institutions under the ministry of gender children and social protection across the country and see to the realities on the grounds as she pledges full commitment towards fighting issues of poverty, child marriage as well as ensuring the promotion and protection of the rights of children and vulnerable groups in the Ghana. By so doing the minister Ms Otiko Djaba  had an interactive session with some CSOs and NGOs of the locality to discuss the issues at hand.

As part of her activities in the monitoring working visit, the Gender Minister with her team from the ministry together with the Upper West Regional Directors visited the paramount chief of Wa, Naa Fuseini Seidu Pelpuo IV at the Wa Naa’s palace to pay her respect  and seek blessing for her working visit in Wa.
