The workshop served as a platform for dialogue, networking, and capacity-building, fostering collaboration among key stakeholders to enhance the visibility and effectiveness of the LEAP Programme.

Participants engaged in presentations and interactive discussions focused on strengthening media and CSO involvement in promoting social protection initiatives, understanding the cash transfer journey in Ghana, and improving outreach and communication strategies for the LEAP Programme.

Addressing the participants, Mr. Colson Akanbasiam, on behalf of the Head of the LEAP Management Secretariat, Dr. Myles Ongoh, underscored the importance of the workshop in addressing misconceptions about the programme. He stated, “The LEAP Programme has been a cornerstone of Ghana’s social protection framework, providing critical support to vulnerable households.”
