PREPARATORY MEETING ON THE 96TH CYCLE OF REGULAR LEAP PAYMENT

The Social Protection Directorate of the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection has held a preparatory meeting for assigned monitoring teams ahead of the 96th cycle of Regular LEAP payments, scheduled for 30th June to 4th July 2025.

The meeting aimed to enhance coordination, planning, and execution of the monitoring exercise.

It provided an opportunity to clearly outline roles and responsibilities, review the monitoring framework, and equip teams with the necessary tools and guidelines for effective fieldwork.

Key discussions focused on the terms of reference for the exercise, strategies to improve monitoring outcomes, and orientation on data collection tools and reporting.

The meeting also highlighted a significant policy adjustment regarding the bi-monthly LEAP cash grants – effective from the 96th payment cycle.

An action with a positive impact that will be formally announced by the sector Minister, Hon. Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey in the coming days.

Participants reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring accountability, transparency, and the timely disbursement of funds to beneficiaries—while also working to address potential challenges and improve the overall beneficiary experience.
