MEETING WITH GHANAIAN COMMUNITY

he Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection, Hon. Hajia Lariba Zuweira Abudu, met with the Ghanaian Community working at the UN Headquarters and shared messages of goodwill with them as part of Ghana’s participation in the United Nations (UN) 67th Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) in New York.

She commended them for making Ghana proud even being away from home.

To help raise the number of women in decision-making levels, particularly in Ghana’s Parliament, Hon. Lariba Abudu encouraged the women to return home and pursue political careers.

With the Hon. Minister was Ghana’s Ambassador to New York.

The Hon. Minister also joined other world leaders to celebrate the 2023 International Women’s Day at the UN.
