INTERACTIVE DIALOGUE WITH SENIOR OFFICIALS OF THE UN SYSTEM DURING THE 62ND SESSION OF THE COMMISSION FOR SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT

At the ongoing 62nd Session of the Commission for Social Development underway in New York, Ghana’s delegation engaged in a series of dialogue sessions, including the Social Protection Dialogue, Civil Society/NGO Forum, and Interactive Dialogue with Senior Officials of the UN System.

The dialogue on social protection provided a platform for Ghana to share insights, experiences, and best practices in implementing programs aimed at promoting social inclusion, reducing poverty, and enhancing the well-being of its citizens.

By participating in this dialogue, Ghana demonstrated its commitment to addressing the multifaceted challenges associated with social protection and advancing towards more inclusive and equitable societies.

The Civil Society/NGO forum served as a vital platform for dialogue, collaboration, and networking among civil society organizations, non-governmental organizations, and other stakeholders working towards social development goals.

Ghana leveraged this opportunity to exchange ideas, showcase initiatives, and strengthen partnerships with civil society actors, reaffirming its dedication to fostering inclusive and participatory approaches to social development.

The interactive dialogue with senior officials of the UN System on the priority theme of the 62nd Commission for Social Development provided Ghana with a valuable opportunity to interact directly with key decision-makers and experts within the UN System, sharing perspectives, highlighting national priorities, and contributing to shaping global agendas on social development.

By actively participating in these dialogues, Ghana demonstrated its commitment to leveraging international cooperation and collaboration to address pressing social challenges and promote sustainable development outcomes.
