GHANA PARTICIPATES IN THE SECOND WORLD SUMMIT FOR SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT IN DOHA

The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Hon. Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, is leading Ghana’s delegation to the Second World Summit for Social Development, taking place in Doha, Qatar, from 4th to 6th November 2025, at the Qatar National Convention Centre.

Convened at the level of Heads of State and Government, the Summit is being held under the theme “The Second World Summit for Social Development.” It aims to address the gaps and recommit to the Copenhagen Declaration on Social Development and its Programme of Action, and accelerate progress towards the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.

Pre-Summit events were held on 3rd November 2025.

The opening ceremony brought together Presidents, Ministers, and other High-level Governmental and Non-Governmental officials.

Ghana continues to play an active role in the proceedings, contributing to discussions and engagements at various levels of the Summit.
