GENDER MINISTER VISITS DANSOMAN FIRE VICTIMS

The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Hon. Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey has visited the Dansoman Market to sympathize with traders affected by the recent fire outbreak, which destroyed several stallls and also claimed the life of an eight year old girl.

During the visit, the Minister interacted with affected traders and assured them of Governments commitment to support them as they work to rebuild and return to business.

She also pledged the Ministry’s readiness to provide psychosocial support to all traders who have been traumatized by the incident, and to collaborate with relevant agencies to ensure a coordinated relief support.

The Minister further visited the mother who lost her eight year old daughter in the fire. She offered her condolences to the bereaved family and assured them of the Ministry’s support during this difficult period.
