COMBINED NATIONAL SPOT CHECK ON THE 91ST AND 92ND LEAP PAYMENT CYCLE

The 91st and 92nd payment of the cash grant to eligible households under the Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP) programme is currently underway.
LEAP is a social cash transfer program for Ghana’s poorest households with the aim of alleviating poverty by fostering human capital development and smoothing consumption
The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection as part of executing its mandate is embarking on joint spot check visits to LEAP payment centres/pay points in selected Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) across the country.
In order to carry out the monitoring exercise, MoGCSP has formed teams and assigned them the job of compiling data on various indicators to track Program performances.
Additionally, it will allow the Ministry track payments, and interact with beneficiaries to evaluate the impact of the program in their lives.
For the combined 91st and 92nd LEAP cycles, beneficiary households will receive payments as follows:
One eligible member households: GH₵ 512.00
Two eligible member households: GH₵ 608.00
Three eligible member households: GH₵ 704.00
Four or more eligible member households: GH₵ 848.00
The Joint Spot Check which commenced on Monday 7th October, 2024 will benefit a total of 325,470 beneficiary households (approximately 1,461,181 individuals).
The amount paid to a household is determined by the number of eligible household members. The category of persons who make a household eligible are orphans and vulnerable children, the elderly, 65 years+ without support, persons with severe disabilities who cannot work, and pregnant women and mothers with infants under one year.
