BEREAVED FAMILIES OF EL-WAK STAMPEDE VISIT GENDER MINISTER

The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Hon. Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, has received delegations from families affected by the recent EL-WAK stampede, following her earlier visits to bereaved households in the Greater Accra and Central Regions.
The families visited the Ministry to express their appreciation for the Minister’s support and the Government’s show of solidarity, as well as to discuss matters related to the upcoming burial arrangements.
Hon. Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, who warmly welcomed the delegations, reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to standing with the families during this difficult period. She assured them of continued Government support.
She further noted that the Ministry, in collaboration with relevant agencies, will continue to provide the necessary assistance, including psychosocial support, to help them cope with their loss.
The Minister encouraged the families to remain strong, assuring them that they are not alone and that the nation stands firmly behind them.
